PixEdit® is being used in a huge range of document management systems and applications, from the simplest file folder setups to complex DMS and ECM systems. To cover all these types of use and allow easy integration, our software offers you several good options and a lot of flexibility.
Scanning many documents as one batch, one usually gets one single, big file back from the scanner. You need a way to automatically identify each document and divide the batch into separate files.
PixEdit Server will automatically prepare all types of documents and store them in your digital archive. The software runs as a service on your Windows server, and is easily integrated with your document management system through web services or folder watching.
Vectorization or image tracing is a process that converts a scanned image into a drawing consisting of objects. Most companies today use Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications to create new drawings for construction, maps, etc. But many also have old drawings made by hand and that exist only on paper.
Forms processing. Automatic data capture by scanning filled-out forms. The results are gathered into structured data (XML or comma separated text files)
Previously scanned documents may have been stored in a different file format than the one you want in your current database. Older document databases often use formats such as TIFF, CALS, Edmics or even JPEG, while newer databases mostly use PDF. With the right software, you can convert these files to your standard file format without having to rescan.
Whether your company’s document management system is a simple one or more complex, you need documents of good quality and preserved correctly for future generation software.
Save time on repetitive tasks with PixEdit Desktop software. Do you often find yourself doing the same sequence of editing operations over and over, page by page, document by document? You can increase the efficiency of such work enormously by using time saving software features.
Edit scanned documents. No need to rescan your documents, make use of your existing documents instead of creating new ones. You can edit and improve documents, pages and graphics.
Optimization of scanned documents. Why is optimizing scanned documents important? Document scanners deliver images of the pages in a document. Cleaning up and enhancing those images before the file is stored is an important part of any document capture system.
