Scanning & Imaging Services Docuvan offers medium to high volume scanning and indexing services for organisations looking to capture paper based documents electronically. Images can be saved as TIFF, PDF or any other format required. Typical assignments include litigation documentation and backfile conversions where Docuvan’s experienced staff will scan, index and check the documentation to ensure high levels of accuracy. The most common service undertaken by Docuvan is for backfile conversion and/or day-forward outsourcing. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Scanning Services In addition to high volume scanning and indexing services Docuvan provides OCR services to provide text based documents (such as MS Word, WordPerfect etc.) for subsequent editing by users. Docuvan can also completely reconstruct documents which have both text and graphics (as images) to provide a complete document. The accuracy of the OCR process will be determined by the quality of the original, the font used, and the edit/checking process adopted. In certain limited circumstances it may be preferable to combine OCR with re-keying of documents.
