Who we are Docuvan is based in Melbourne, Australia. We can provide our Imaging services in all Australian capital cities and most regional locations. Richard Tapps - General Manager Richard has worked in the IT Industry in Sales, Marketing, Administration and Operational positions. He has worked with Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SME's) installing and implementing business solutions. The areas covered ranged from basic Networking and Accounting solutions through to complete business systems, which involved LAN & WAN networks, including remote access to the Accounting system, CRM and Lotus Notes, Palm Sales Solutions and of course Document Management. Richard's passion has taken him to the forefront of Document Management and Business Workflow Solution development for his clients. The rest of the Docuvan team have qualifications in Document Management, Marketing, Accounting and Multimedia. What we do Docuvan provides a service to SME’s and Corporates, helping them manage all the paper documents within the business. Any paper document can be imaged. If the quality of the image is suitable, it can processed through an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine, giving the ability to search on any word within the document and use selective OCR components as indexes. Each document can be indexed as part of the scanning processes. The index can be as basic as a date or creditor name through to multiple cross references on each document. The specific service provided consists of taking a group of documents (i.e. A given month, a for a given creditor, etc), scanning them through a high speed duplex scanner, adding the index information to the group of documents, burning the images of the documents to CD/DVD-ROM and then returning the documents and the searchable CD/ DVD-ROM to the client for a fee based on the number of documents scanned. This service is provided from a commercial vehicle, with all the necessary computer equipment operational within. Because this service is mobile, you have complete control of the security of your documents. The documents are processed at your premises. The equipment and software used are the same as used by the corporate world. This gives a small business the same quality, security, speed and accessibility without the large capital outlay. We can also supply, install and train you to use a your own document management solution if you would prefer to do it yourself. We can recommend a solution to suit most budgets.
